NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Holmes County Agricultural Society, PO Box 376, Millersburg, OH 44654 (Holmes
County, OH) will receive sealed bids postmarked before 29 October, 2015, for
performing all the labor and supplying all material necessary for the construction of the
OFFICE AND LIVESTOCK HOUSING FACILITY AT HARVEST RIDGE
FAIRGROUNDS, 8990 TR 301, Millersburg, OH, in accordance with the plans on file at
TAC Systems Contract Drafting Services, 71 South Washington Street, Millersburg, OH.
Sealed bids shall be mailed to The Holmes County Agricultural Society, PO Box 376,
Millersburg, OH 44654 and identified as “HARVEST RIDGE LIVESTOCK
BUILDING”, or they shall be hand delivered the day the Bid Opening but prior to the
meeting. Bids shall be opened at a Fair Board Meeting, at 7:00 PM, 29 October, 2015, at the Meeting room of the Baker Building, Harvest Ridge Fairgrounds, 8990 TR 301,
Harvest Ridge Office & Livestock Housing Facility, Holmes County
Estimate of Cost - $ 891,176
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, 8 October, 2015, at the jobsite
(8990 TR 301, Millersburg, OH) to discuss the project requirements and distribute prints.
Each bid shall be in conformity with the Ohio Revised Code, shall contain the names of
every person and company interested therein, and shall be on Proposal forms included in the specification.
Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a 100% Bid Guaranty Bond. In lieu of the Bid
Guaranty Bond, the Bidder must submit a Bid Guaranty pursuant the Ohio Revised Code §153.54 of the in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Ohio Revised Code §1305, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid.
If the bid guaranty is a bid bond, such bond shall provide that, if the bid is accepted, the
bidder will enter into a proper contract in accordance with the bid and the plans and
specifications. The bid bond shall further be conditioned to indemnify the Township
against all damage suffered by failure to perform the contract in accordance with Ohio
Revised Code §153.54, and will be in the proper form in accordance with Ohio Revised
If the bid guaranty is a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit pursuant to Ohio Revised Code §1305, the bidder will, after the award of the contract, enter into a proper contract in accordance with the bid and the plans and specifications, or become liable to the Township for the difference between its bid and that of the next lowest bidder. See Ohio Revised Code §153.54.
In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code §153.50, separate and distinct bids must be
submitted for each of the following classes of work; general contracting, plumbing and gas fitting, ventilating apparatus, electrical equipment and sprinkler system.

each set of drawings (non-refundable). Make out checks to the “The Holmes County

The Holmes County Agricultural Society reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to
waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or
combination of bids, which is deemed the most favorable to the Holmes County
Agricultural Society at the time and under the conditions stipulated.
